Dear Pingree Community,
Happy Sunday!
We hope you had a fun and restful vacation week. Can you believe we are heading into March?!
We hope your children have been talking about all the engaging books and activities they have been participating in our new reading program, Wit and Wisdom this year. We have been so impressed with our teachers and our students as I walk through classrooms during their literacy block! The quality of the discussions, the engagement in the activities and the stamina of student writing has been so wonderful to see. We even had a special guest reader in Grade 2, Donnie Norton, who had students so engaged in a story, you would have thought they were watching a live show (Picture of the Week).
We take educating your child very seriously! Please take time to review our DESE report card linked below. There are questions and answers on the site as well as other important measures of how we are doing as a school. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our reports.
Finally, we are celebrating Read Across America all this week! We encourage our students and staff to participate in our Spirit Days if they wish to:

Pop Up Pantry- A message from our Food Pantry Partners!
We know a lot of families are feeling financial strain these days. Below is a link to our Pop Up Pantry calendar. Families can get food on a weekly basis, no questions asked and no reporting. Tuesday's are drive through (nice and quick and easy for folks with kids in the car), Thursday and Saturday are walk-in. We also have a Portuguese translator available on Saturdays.
