KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION for the 2023-2024 school year!

Kindergarten registration for the next school year is now open. Parents have the option to register online or in person. Please be sure to complete your child’s registration no later than Friday, March 17, 2023.

Children entering Kindergarten must be five (5) years old by August 31, 2023.

Donations needed!

If you have any pants your child has grown out of that you would like to donate to the nurse clinic, we would love to have them!

We are looking for:

• Boys small and medium sweatpants

• Girls small and medium stretchy pants

If you have any to donate, please send in with your child to be brought to the nurse clinic. Thank you!!

Please take a minute and make sure your child is buckled. We have noticed an increase in students not buckling when leaving school. Thank you so much!

There has been an increase in students bringing their Smart Watches to school. As per our handbook, all devices including Smart Watches should be powered off and in backpacks. We appreciate the family support regarding this policy.

Early literacy encompasses so many components! Each month, we will explain one piece of the puzzle, and offer tips for supporting your child at home. Next up, phonics.

What is phonics?

Phonics is the method of teaching letters, letter patterns and sounds. The goal of phonics instruction is to teach decoding in order to make meaning of text.

What are we doing?

Your child is building this knowledge through the Fundations curriculum, a daily, multi-sensory approach to the teaching and learning of a progression of phonics skills.

How can you support your child?

• Say or sing the alphabet (be aware of L, M, N, O, P !)

• Encourage word solving by saying "Tap it out."

• Reach out to your child's teacher for specific strategies based on your child.
