GO ROCKETS!!
Message from Principal Ragaisis
Dear Russell Families,
As we reach the end of another remarkable school year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had together. Our students have completed numerous activities and projects, showcasing their hard work and dedication every step of the way. We are immensely proud of their achievements and the progress they've made.
This year has been filled with memorable moments, laughter, and learning. Each student has contributed to making our school community vibrant and dynamic. They have grown in knowledge, skills, and friendships, and we will miss their presence over the summer.
As we head into the summer break, we encourage you to enjoy this time with your children. Relax, have fun, and create wonderful memories. We hope this summer is filled with joy and relaxation for your entire family.
Thank you for your continuous support throughout the year. We look forward to seeing everyone back next school year, ready for new adventures and learning experiences.
Thank you for being part of the Russell Elementary School community.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership and as always, It's Great to be a Rocket!
We are doing everything we can at the school level to keep the students safe and healthy. I ask you to limit exposures, wash hands OFTEN and please, keep your children home if they are sick. Thank you for all of your help.
GO ROCKETS!!!
Ms. Ragaisis
Buying School Supplies for Next Year Just Became Easier!
For the 24-25 school year, all of our elementary schools are requesting that families contribute $15 for the purchase of school supplies. Instead of purchasing materials by class or grade level, we will buy supplies based on each school's needs. This will include all of the supplies needed for the school year, including pencils, markers, glue, crayons, etc…
We would like families to provide backpacks and earbuds for their child, but all other supplies will be provided. For able families, we can take additional donations to help those who cannot contribute the $15.00.
More details on the ways that funds can be accepted will come in our August newsletter. Thank you so much!
Missing Library Books
Please take a look around your home for any books that have our Russell name in them. It's that time of year that we ask all books to be turned it - and we see that quite a few are missing.
Thank you!!
Counselors Corner
Hello Russell families,
As we inch closer to summer I want to congratulate all the students here at Russell for such an amazing year. As a school we want to wish the 5th grade class the best of luck in middle school. This is a big transition for many students. With this change it can bring on anxiety, stress and even fear about the uncertainty of this big shift to a new school. Please help remind your 5th graders that it is normal to feel this way when presented with such a big change. I want to thank all of the wonderful families here at Russell. I feel very lucky that I get to be part of such an incredible community.
The life skills for June are celebrations, transitions and change. It is important that we acknowledge and celebrate these milestones in our children's lives. We can help our students understand that transitions are a normal part of life.
Celebrations Transitions Change
Sincerely,
Chris Gifford

Parent Website - MUST HAVE!
I've come across this fantastic website that I believe could really help ensure that your children stay safe while exploring the internet. It's called Common Sense and it's specifically designed to assist parents and families in navigating through various media sites and ensuring a safe online experience for kids.
This website is a guide tailored for parents and families. It offers resources and tools to help us understand the content your children are exposed to and how to manage their online activities effectively.
Here's how it works: Common Sense provides detailed information about popular media sites, including social networks, streaming platforms, and gaming websites. It outlines potential risks and offers strategies to mitigate them so you can be informed at what your children are doing and how to talk to them about it.
I think using this site could give you peace of mind knowing that you are taking proactive steps to keep your kids safe online. It's like having a trusted advisor to help you navigate the complexities of the digital world. Check it out!!
