Happy Mother's Day to all of our wonderful moms!
ARK PTA Shows Up Once Again
The ARK Art Show Was a Masterpiece in Itself
Last night, we held our annual ARK Art Show, and it was an absolute success. The building was transformed wall to wall with incredible student artwork, showcasing the creativity, imagination, and talent of our young people.
A special thank you goes out to our art teacher, Mrs. Davis, whose leadership, passion, and ability to inspire students was evident throughout the entire evening. Through her guidance and encouragement, students created truly beautiful pieces that brought our school to life.
We also want to thank our volunteers, staff, and families for helping make the evening such a memorable experience. It was inspiring to see so many students proudly expressing themselves creatively through a wide variety of artistic projects.
The arts are truly alive at ARK!
Car Drop Off
PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS.
This is a reminder that the yellow-lined sidewalk areas at the front of the building are designated for drop-off only.
To keep traffic moving safely and efficiently, drivers should remain in their vehicles while students exit independently. Once students are on the sidewalk, vehicles should pull away immediately. Getting out of vehicles to assist with backpacks, walk students to the sidewalk, or say extended goodbyes creates traffic backups and delays the flow of traffic for others.
If your child requires additional time or support exiting the vehicle, please park further down near the staff parking lot sidewalk area or on nearby streets outside of the yellow-lined drop-off zone.
We appreciate your cooperation and partnership in helping us maintain a safe and respectful arrival process for all families.
Mr. Park
NJSLA Testing
Dear Families of 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders,
NJSLA testing for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students is quickly approaching. Please see the testing schedule below.
As we prepare, a few important reminders to help students perform at their best:
- Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep in the days leading up to testing
- Provide a healthy breakfast each morning of testing
- Make every effort to have your child arrive to school on time so they can begin testing with their peers
We appreciate your support in helping our students feel prepared and confident.
Thank you,
Mr. Park

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR FAMILIES OF INCOMING KINDERGARTNERS FOR THE 2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR.
Dear Families of Incomiing Kindergartners,
We hope this message finds you doing well. On behalf of everyone at A. Russell Knight Elementary School, we would like to warmly invite you to our Incoming Kindergarten Orientation for families of students joining us for the 2026–2027 school year.
This will be a parent-only orientation and an opportunity for you to meet many of the staff members who will support your child throughout their kindergarten experience, including our kindergarten teachers, Literacy Teacher Coach, Guidance Counselor, School Nurse, and Principal.
During the orientation, you will learn more about our kindergarten curriculum, daily routines, and what to expect as your child begins this exciting new chapter. Most importantly, it is an opportunity for us to begin building a strong partnership with your family.
At Russell Knight, we believe deeply in creating a flourishing school community where children and adults alike wake up inspired to come to school and leave each day with a sense of fulfillment in what they accomplished. We cannot wait to meet your children, get to know them, and welcome them into our school family.
