Parents- Please do not drive through the staff lot in the morning and also please do not drop off students in the parking lot. Staff members are driving into work in the morning and need to park in the lot to get in the building in time to greet students. Of the utmost importance is school safety- Students walking between moving cars in the lot poses a danger to students.

Also, please remember that students should not be dropped off and left unattended prior to 7:30am as we do not have staff supervision prior to this time.

After consulting with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and to help ensure the safety of all students and improve traffic flow, we ask that families who choose to drop off or pick up students along Coal Creek Drive park above the intersection of Coal Creek and Stone Pass and avoid using the intersection of Coal Creek and Weldon Way for turnarounds or vehicle entry and exit.

Hi Builders Club members,

We will have our next Builders Club meeting this upcoming Monday, November 17th during Advisory in the Media Center. Please make sure you all attend - we have an important project to plan! At this meeting, we’ll be discussing our upcoming service project: a donation drive for the Aiken County Animal Shelter. We’ll be collecting the following items:

• Purina Kitten Chow

• Purina Cat Chow

• Purina Puppy Chow

• Diamond brand Chicken & Rice Dog Food

• Cat toys

• Durable dog toys

• Small Milk-Bone treats

• Blankets

• Towels (hand or bath size)

After we finish the drive, we will take a trip to the Aiken County Animal Shelter on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 AM to deliver the items, volunteer, and tour the shelter. Remember, you’ll need 7 total service hours for the year - this project and the shelter visit are great opportunities to earn them!

Help us teach your children/our students about the importance of internet safety. We have had a recent increase in students viewing inappropriate material or emailing peers about inappropriate topics on their school laptops both at school and in their homes before or after school hours. While the district does have filters on the searches, no filter can catch everything. Middle schoolers are very clever and figure out ways around the safety features. We highly encourage you to speak to your children about internet safety and further encourage you to monitor your child's computer use while at home.

The application for the 2026 acGATEWAY Summer Arts Program is now available. This year, the application is available in a digital format and can be completed by clicking the link below.

acGATEWAY is a rigorous and immersive summer arts opportunity for students who submit an application and go through the audition process. Current 3rd-12th graders are eligible and may choose from dance, theater, visual art, music, or creative writing.

The deadline to submit applications (online) is Monday, December 12th. No late applications will be accepted due to planning purposes.
