PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello Otter Families,
As we begin the month of November, we are excited to launch the American Heart Association's Kid Heart Challenge. This program provides a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about heart health, physical activity, and the importance of helping others through service and giving.
The Kid Heart Challenge will lead into one of our favorite school traditions, our 4th Annual Great Gratitude Walk, which will take place on Friday, November 20, 2026. Throughout the month, students will have opportunities to reflect on gratitude, kindness, and healthy living while supporting an important cause.
We look forward to coming together as a school community to celebrate gratitude, wellness, and the many things we are thankful for. Thank you for your continued partnership and support in making Sutherland Elementary a place where students learn, grow, and thrive.
Go Otters!

HARVEST FESTIVAL FUN
I want to thank all the parents and staff who organized, ran, and cleaned up the Harvest Festival. It was a great night. I enjoyed visiting with so many of you. The Trunk or Treat was a ton of fun and I look forward to this becoming a new tradition.
Special shout out to the PTO Team who ran the errands, prepared materials, and ran the night with our teachers.
Join our PTO on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 3:00 as we debrief this event. Your feedback is really important to us and will help us make next year's event even better.
