From the Desk of Miss Kimberly
This year is disappearing a bit too quickly.
It was a great week ending with a very exciting day. Field Day was a huge success. A big thank you to Mrs. Harris for putting it all together and to the parents who were able to volunteer to ensure it's success. We also had the waterslide which is only made possible by the Temple Volunteer Fire Department. Thank you for being here to create a fun slide for the students of TES - well, some adults also. 😊
Please mark your calendar for our end-of-year celebration on June 19, 2026 at 10:30 am. June 19th is the last day of school and dismissal will be at 12:00 noon.
Have a wonderful weekend

At TES, we are dedicated to creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment where all students can thrive. Recently, we have noticed a few incidents regarding students using or mentioning inappropriate language (including swear words and foul language) at school.
To address this, I recently spoke with our Grade 2, 3, and 4 students about the power of our words. We discussed how words are meant to help us communicate, explain, and connect, but that they can also be used to hurt others.
To help students navigate this, we introduced a simple bottom-line rule: "Would my teacher say this word to the class?" If the answer is no, then it is a word that should not be used at school.
Additionally, we encouraged students that if they hear a word they are unsure of, they should always ask a teacher or an adult at home for clarification, rather than turning to a classmate.
How You Can Help at Home:
Monitor Media: Keep a close eye on the online media, videos, and games your children are accessing, as these are primary sources for new vocabulary.
Check in with Older Siblings: Older siblings are wonderful role models, but they sometimes bring home language that is not appropriate for elementary-aged children. Kindly remind them to mind their language around their younger brothers and sisters.
Reinforce the "Teacher Rule": Talk with your child about the power of words and reinforce the "Would my teacher say it?" boundary.
Thank you so much for your continued partnership, support, and help in guiding our students as they grow and learn.
