ASQ - Ages & Stages Questionnaire ASQ - Ages & Stages Questionnaire

We have had a few families who have recently remarked how glad they were that they completed the ASQ for their child. It helped them to better understand where there child could use some support and for some gave them the nudge to consider early intervention services. Children are thriving and families are feeling supported and encouraged by their child's growth. Be in touch with Gillian if you have questions about the process.

What is ASQ, exactly?

ASQs help families reflect upon and review their child’s strengths, interests, attributes and areas that may need support.

Here are the five important areas of development that each questionnaire looks at:

  1. Communication: Your child’s language skills, both what your child understands and what he or she can say.

  2. Gross Motor: How your child uses their arms and legs and other large muscles for sitting, crawling, walking, running, and other activities.

  3. Fine Motor: Your child’s hand and finger movement and coordination.

  4. Problem Solving: How your child plays with toys and solves problems.

  5. Personal-Social: Your child’s self-help skills and interactions with others.

Complete the form on the CNC website . The questionnaire responses will go to CNC Coordinator, Gillian, and she will be in touch with information to support your child's continued growth and development.

Please be in touch if you have any questions or would like to complete the questionnaire on paper.

Time to learn the COAT FLIP TRICK! Time to learn the COAT FLIP TRICK!

As we layer up and children become more independent they can learn to put on their own coat. Try using this coat flip trick to support their growing independence.
