Semester Exam Schedule
Semester Exam Exemption Information
At ACHS only Juniors and Seniors are eligible for semester exam exemptions! Students complete and turned in requests last week and received information about their exemption status this past Wednesday. If students did not earn an exemption, they are required to sit for each semester exam and it will impact their semester grade.
Exemption criteria is:
1. Students must have at least an 80 in the class.
2. Students must have no more than 3 absences, excused or unexcused. 3 tardies equal 1 absence.
3. Students must NOT have been in ISS/DAEP for the semester requesting exemption.
4. Student must be classified as a Junior or Senior by Credit Hours.
Each Junior and Senior received a personalized letter with their exemption status. Please check with your student about this letter!
Wildcats in Action
Our Basketball programs were in action this week with pre-district competition and tournaments!
The JH Boys and Girls took on Electra JH this week in district play! The 7th Grade boys fell to Electra, while the 8th Grade boys were victorious. Both the 7th and 8th Grade Girls took the W from Electra! Our Junior High Programs will take on Olney on Monday to wrap up their schedule in December!
Our JV Girls took on Holliday on Monday and walked away with a close victory in an exciting game! Our JV boys took on Bryson on Tuesday and walked away with a hard fought victory as well. The JV boys continued with tournament action in the St. Jo JV boys tournament. The boys showed glimpses of success but ultimately fell in all 3 games during the tournament.
Our Varsity Girls had a busy week as they traveled to Bryson on Tuesday and competed in the Aspermont Tournament over the weekend! The girls defeated Bryson, Quanah, Knox City, and Rotan on the week and fell to a tough Aspermont squad. The girls went 4-1 this past week as they gear up for district action this week!
Our Varsity Boys program also had a 5 game week, traveling to Bryson on Tuesday and then competing in the boys bracket at the Aspermont Tournament. The boys defeated Bryson and Knox City but fell to Haskell, Aspermont and TLCA Abilene, going 2-3 on the week.
Our students also participated in the first round of tryouts for our upcoming High School One Act Play this past Monday! The second day of tryouts commence this Monday after school from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Wildcat Rising: The Will to Win
Finishing Strong: The Will to Win
As we enter the final week of the semester, this is where The Will to Win truly shows itself. Finishing strong means showing up every day, staying focused, and giving your best effort right up to the final bell. Attendance matters, preparation matters, and how you approach your semester exams matters.
Champions don’t coast to the finish line — they lean in. They review, ask questions, manage their time, and take pride in completing what they started. Whether it’s an exam, a project, or simply being present and engaged, every effort you make this week reflects your commitment to excellence.
Let’s close this semester with purpose, discipline, and confidence. Show the will to win by coming to school, doing your best on exams, and finishing the semester the right way.
