NRESC & The Phoenix
April 2026
Spring Has Sprung🌷
April has been filled with spring activities: from planting, to creating bird feeders, and going on egg hunts, our Phoenix students enjoyed the transition to the new season with multi-sensory learning.
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on the first Wednesday of April to honor the crucial contributions of teacher aides, instructional assistants, and paras. These professionals support students and teachers, providing essential, individualized, and specialized education support. We are so grateful for our team: Cheryl, Dana, and Madelyn!
April Fool's Day

The Letter F
Students explored the letter “F” through cross-curricular activities that connected literacy, art, and science. They practiced identifying and writing the letter while creating “F” themed projects, such as drawing and labeling pictures of frogs, flowers, and fish. Through hands-on experiences and discussion, students strengthened their phonemic awareness while building vocabulary and making meaningful connections across subjects.
