Principal Chamberlain's Corner
Greetings HD Families,
We have had a great first 4 days of school! Students have been learning and practicing building and classroom expectations. They are doing GREAT! Kindergarten through 5th-grade students started taking the NWEA MAP Assessments for reading and math. These assessments are given three times a year and provide parents, teachers, and students with information on what students know and what they are ready to learn.
Please take time to read through the newsletter each month for upcoming important dates, school reminders and highlights, PTA news, community opportunities, etc. Please review parking guidelines as well, as this will help the morning start off on the right foot for all!
Welcome Back Harvey Dunn Tigers!
Kindest regards,
Mrs. Chamberlain, Principal
Parking Lot Visual - Circle Drive
North Drive Drop-Off Visual
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminders
Park vehicles in the parking lot and walk students to and from the school using the crosswalks.
Only vehicles with handicap parking permits can park in the handicap spots.
When pulling up in the circle drive, remain in your vehicle and move forward as the line moves. This helps keep traffic moving.
Students exit on the passenger side of the vehicle. In the circle drive, once you are in the student drop-off zone, students exit the vehicle. When more students are exiting the vehicles, we are able to move traffic through more efficiently. Please have students begin exiting the car and walking to the playground from the start of the drop-off zone!
North Drive is designated for bus and RISE drop-off/pick-up.
Thank you for helping to assure that all students get to school in a safe manner! Traffic can be busy, we appreciate your patient and positive attitudes as children start their day!
