Pauba Valley Flight Plan

Dear Pilot Families,

Ask your Pilots all about Number Corner! Our whole school does Number Corner each day. Number Corner is an integral part of our Bridges Math program. Students look for patterns in the calendar and practice a variety of skills each month. Our first Unit is almost wrapped up and our teachers are working as grade level teams to get ready for Unit 2.

This week, we began our new attendance campaign, "Our Pilots Soar!!"

Each day that a class has 100% attendance, one letter will get colored (or an exclamation point).

Once the slogan is complete, the class will earn a reward. They will then get a new paper and start again. This is an ongoing campaign and every class earns the reward when they fill in their paper. This month it is an extra afternoon recess! Classes are very excited to see who can reach 100% first!

Next week's key will be "Failure Leads to Success". Students will discuss the Power of Yet and never giving up!

We have had many members of our school community share their concerns with vehicles speeding on our surrounding streets, making U-turns in crosswalks, and jaywalking. We are asking for our Pauba families to be extra vigilant before and after school to ensure the safety of all students.

If you are a family member of a Pauba Pilot who is a first responder or serving in the military? Did you serve in the past?

If so, we would love to get a picture of you for our Hero Wall! Send it in next week with your Pauba Pilot!

We encourage all Pilots and their families to become familiar with the information in the guidebook. You will find information on school rules & expectations, volunteering, celebrations, contact numbers, breakfast/lunch, and much more!

A paper copy of the guidebook is available to view in the front office.
