Hello Falcon Family!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a restful and joyful winter break. We have lots of exciting learning opportunities and activities planned for the coming months, and we look forward to continuing to work with your amazing children to help them continue to grow and succeed.

With the weather quickly changing, we want to ensure all students have a jacket/ coat to keep them warm. If your child is in need of a jacket, please contact me or the front office.

Hello CE Families!

We are starting off the new year with a resolution to be a bully-free campus. Bullying awareness and intervention are the focus of our next SEL lesson cycle. Here's a family connection newsletter to reinforce this critical learning at home.

The BIG message is to STOP, SUPPORT, and REPORT any hurtful and repeated behavior, whether it hurts the body or the heart. Thanks for your support!

During the month of January, we will be rolling out additional leadership opportunities for our students, including a Clean Up Crew in each grade level, Safety Patrol, and __________! Students will be selected using an application process! We are excited to have more student leaders on campus!

We are excited to announce that this spring, we will have a District UIL Event in which we will compete against the other two elementary schools in the district. The events we will host are:

2nd Grade: Creative Writing / Storytelling

3rd Grade: Storytelling

4th Grade: Oral Reading / Number Sense

5th Grade: Oral Reading / Number Sense

The event will be held on the afternoon of May 12th at Shady Shores Elementary. In the coming weeks, student sign-ups and/ or applications will be available to students, as there are a limited number of participants for each event.

Practices will be held during clubs on Fridays.
