CLEARWATER STEAM NEWSLETTER

We are having a great December! Looking forward to our last four days before Winter Break! Let’s make it a wonderful week!

Clearwater Elementary STEAM hosted its festive Holiday Walk Your Socks Off event, and it was a blast! Families were invited to join in the fun, bringing everyone together for a cheerful walk-a-thon around the track. Students, staff, and parents showed off their holiday spirit by wearing their most festive holiday socks while enjoying the sounds of classic Christmas songs. It was a heartwarming way to celebrate the season, stay active, and spread holiday cheer!

This past Saturday, Clearwater's Science Olympiad Team proudly represented our school in the Perris Christmas Parade! Showcasing our STEAM focus, these talented students exemplify the spirit of collaboration, communication, and critical thinking that drives their success in tackling scientific challenges. We are incredibly proud of our Science Olympiad Team for shining bright and representing the innovative spirit of Clearwater!

Mrs. Alexander had an incredible time working with our 2nd and 3rd graders at this Saturday's Dolphin STEAM Academy! The energy was off the charts as students dove into creating the most adorable snowman snow globes. They blew us away with their amazing painting and shading skills, turning their art into true masterpieces. What an awesome day of creativity and fun!

Clearwater's first and fourth graders have been hard at work on their exciting PBLs! Our first graders explored the phases of the moon, eagerly presenting their knowledge through detailed models that they created and explained with confidence. Meanwhile, our fourth graders dove into the topic of natural disasters, learning about wildfires, floods, earthquakes, and hurricanes. They gained valuable insights into the causes of these events and, most importantly, how to stay safe during them. We are so proud of their curiosity, creativity, and commitment to learning!

There is so much learning going on every day at Clearwater - we don't want our students to miss a moment! As much as we like long weekends, missing a Monday or a Friday can have a big impact on students' achievement. We want to see every student at school, every day. Students earn Splash Cash for attending school each day, and DOUBLE the Splash Cash if they are at school every day for the week - including Monday and Friday.
