Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear Neubert Families,

As we head into fall break, I want to wish each of you a restful and wonderful week ahead. If your family celebrates Thanksgiving, I hope you enjoy a joyful holiday filled with gratitude and time spent with loved ones.

It’s hard to believe that when we welcome our Knights back, it will already be December! This season reminds me of just how much we have to be thankful for. I am truly grateful for the support you provide your children at home and for the ongoing partnership we share - our school community is stronger because of you.

I look forward to seeing many of you at Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 24 and 25!

Your Partner in Education,

Ms. Nicole Bryan, Principal
Neubert Elementary School

I’m a happily married mom of two—one a junior in college and the other a freshman. Go Wildcats (UKY) and Go Cyclones (ISU)! This is my fourth year at Neubert, and I feel incredibly grateful to have spent over 30 years in D300, serving in a variety of roles across many wonderful schools. I’m a passionate reader and baker, and I love spending time traveling with my family.

Quick tech tip: If you're viewing a QR code on your phone, you don’t need a second device to scan it. Just take a screenshot, open the picture in your photo library, and long-press on the QR code—your phone will recognize it and pop up the link automatically. Super handy!

Cold Weather Reminder Cold Weather Reminder

As the temperatures begin to drop, we want to make sure all of our Knights stay warm and comfortable throughout the school day!

Please be sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the weather. This includes a warm coat, hat, gloves, boots, and snow pants when needed. Students go outside for recess every day unless the temperature (actual or wind chill) is below 10°F, or it’s raining.

To help keep everyone safe and dry, students who do not have boots and snow pants will need to stay on the shoveled blacktop area when there’s snow on the ground. We also encourage families to have children practice putting on and fastening their own winter gear at home - it’s a great way to build independence and get ready for those chilly recesses!

If your child needs to remain indoors for medical reasons, please provide a doctor’s note to the school.

Thank you for helping us keep our students warm, healthy, and ready for outdoor fun this fall and winter!

Transportation Change Reminder Transportation Change Reminder

Families, friendly reminder that if you need to make a change to your child’s transportation during the school day, please notify the office as soon as possible, but no later than 1:30 PM. This information has to come from you and not from your child.

This allows us to ensure that teachers are informed and that your child is dismissed safely and accurately at the end of the day.

Thank you for your cooperation and attention to this important procedure!

The Royal Broom Competition The Royal Broom Competition

Congratulations to Mrs. Scimeca's Class!

They are the winners of our Royal Broom Award for keeping the cleanest classroom the entire week of November 10th! Our night custodians crowned them champions, and their room sparkled the brightest. ✨

The Royal Broom competition runs all year long, so who will sweep up the honor next week? 🧹

Lost and Found Lost and Found

Updated 11/24/25

Our Lost and Found is bursting with lonely jackets, hats and sweatshirts that are hoping to find their way back home! Please take a look at the pictures we’ve shared to see if any of these items belong to your child. To help our “lost treasures” get back to their owners even faster, we’d love for you to add your child’s name inside their belongings. That way, we can return them right away before they end up on another adventure in the Lost and Found!
