Unlocking New Quests! 🍁 Hands-On Learning & Beating the Autumn Slump Unlocking New Quests! 🍁 Hands-On Learning & Beating the Autumn Slump

As the autumn season sets in, our district-wide "Level Up" attendance journey moves into an exciting new realm! October is packed with brand-new subjects, hands-on experiments, and interactive group projects that bring learning to life for our young scholars.

This month, our focus is on encouraging students to discover new passions through active classroom experiences while keeping our daily attendance strong to prevent the early "fall attendance slump."

How to Beat the Fall Slump & Stay Charged Up:

  • 🧪 Hands-On Classroom Quests: October features engaging science activities, creative art projects, and collaborative group tasks. These tactile, interactive lessons can't be replicated on a make-up worksheet—showing up in person lets students fully experience the fun!

  • 🛡️ Shield Against Seasonal Fatigue: Shorter days and cooler mornings can make waking up a bit tougher. Keeping consistent bedtimes, laying out clothes the night before, and maintaining steady morning routines shield your child from morning rush stress and attendance slumps.

  • 🗺️ Explore New Learning Realms: From fresh reading units to interactive math games, everyday attendance gives your child the complete map to explore new subjects and build confidence alongside their classmates.

  • 📊 Keep the Streak Alive: Celebrate your child’s weekly attendance milestones! Small daily victories build momentum that carries students smoothly through the fall term.

When students show up every day, they unlock new discoveries and build friendships that make school an exciting place to be. If your family needs support with morning routines, transportation, or seasonal attendance challenges, please contact our front office—we are always here to help your student succeed!

Let’s beat the slump, discover new skills, and Level Up together this fall!

Good attendance is key to your chid's education. Please check the TVUSD school calendar below before scheduling vacations, events and appointments.

Salute to Heroes - Raptor Pre-Check Salute to Heroes - Raptor Pre-Check

Paloma Families - We are excited to welcome our veterans, active military, and first responders to attend Paloma's Salute to Heroes assembly and parade! To help make your arrival smooth and speedy, we encourage all attending guests to pre-register using the Raptor Pre-Check Form.

Pre-registering in advance will greatly expedite your check-in process, reduce wait times, and help us ensure a safe and joyful event for everyone.

Please complete your Raptor pre-registration before the event.

(Only guests who have used the Raptor system previously may pre-check for this event.) Please see the PES Pre-Check Instructions below for more information.

Pre-Check Instructions:

  • ALL attendees must obtain a badge through our RAPTOR check-in process.

  • To expedite this process, please complete your RAPTOR pre-registration. Pre-registering in advance will greatly expedite your check-in process, reduce wait times, and help us ensure a safe and joyful event for everyone.

  • Pre-registration for the event is now open through October 29th at midnight using the Salute to Heroes Pre Check Form. Each attendee must complete a separate form.
  • Please note that only guests who have previously used the RAPTOR system—and for whom a digital ID is already on file—are eligible to complete the pre-check for this event. Completing this process in advance allows us to pre-print your RAPTOR badge(s), which will be sent home with your student 2–3 days before the event.

  • If an attendee's pre-registration is unsuccessful, they will receive an email before the event with additional instructions.

  • Those attendees who have pre-registered successfully and received a RAPTOR badge will be permitted to come on campus for the event through the front office. BADGES must be clearly visible when entering the office.

  • All attendees who have NOT successfully pre-registered will need to check in at the front office the day of the event, beginning no earlier than 8:00 a.m., with a current ID. Once the attendee is provided a RAPTOR badge.

Thank you for helping us keep our event safe, organized, and memorable. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you!

Every year we ask our TVUSD families to complete a brief survey. The survey assists the Governing Board and District/Site Leaders as we strive to continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences, which meet the needs of all our learners, and prepare students for college and career readiness.

New Visitor Sign-In System - Raptor is Here!

We’re excited to share that we now have a brand-new sign-in system in our main office using the Raptor application! For the most part, the system works just like our previous visitor management system — only better. One great new feature is the ability to create your own Raptor Passport for a faster, more streamlined sign-in experience.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Download the Raptor Safe app on your smartphone.
  2. Scan the QR code (located in the main office) to begin creating your Raptor Passport.
  3. Complete the setup process in the app.

Once your Raptor Passport is created, you’ll be able to check in using just your cellphone — no ID required!

We encourage everyone who frequently visits our building to set up their Raptor Passport in advance to make future check-ins quick and easy.
