The Melt Screening & Discussion with Brian Zigulich

Craving an outdoor adventure in the Pacific Northwest? Meet Director Brian Zigulich to discuss his film, The Melt. Brian grew up in Evergreen Park and attended Brother Rice High School. The Library is proud to showcase his journey of the water migration.

In the spring of 2022, the creators of "The Melt" embarked on a two-week expedition through the remote Olympic Mountain Range on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula. The journey followed the annual migration of water, beginning at Mt. Olympus, flowing through the Hoh River, and ending at the Pacific Ocean. Collaborating with the Chala’at Nation (Hoh Tribe) and other skilled individuals, they explored the sacred lands and captured the essence of this natural cycle. This video chronicles their incredible experience, blending stunning landscapes with cultural and environmental significance.
