Congratulations goes to our own Becky Schueth who has been named a State Finalist for this award!

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Excellence is never an accident...
Good morning!
I hope you are doing well and had a fantastic weekend! Welcome to a new quarter and a new opportunity to begin again! This is a great time to reflect on what went well and what are some things we can continue to improve upon as we move forward into the 2nd quarter and close out the first semester.
"Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives—choice, not chance, determines your destiny." As we dive into a fresh quarter, this quote is a critical reminder that the culture of our school—the environment, the energy, and our outcomes. This will not emerge by chance. Our collective culture is built in 30 seconds, and every moment counts. A culture of high expectations is established not in a policy, but in the choice you make in a moment. Whether that is when a student walks in late, when a colleague needs support, or when you choose to model the focus you expect to see. Excellence is the consistent sum of these small, intentional acts. Let's stop relying on hope for a great quarter and start building it, one wise choice at a time.
This idea ties directly into the principle that you get what you look for. Our intentionality is defined by where we focus our attention. If we are constantly looking for problems—the gaps, the excuses, and the fatigue—that is precisely what we will find and reinforce. On the other hand, if we make the conscious choice to look for effort, for the small moments of growth, and for the potential in every room and every interaction, we train ourselves to see and cultivate those very things. This quarter, let's commit to using our 30-second interactions to be cultural amplifiers—to choose to seek the positives, reinforce those behaviors, and make the daily, disciplined choice for excellence that Aristotle describes. This focused effort is how we intentionally create the environment we all want for SRC!
Have a great rest of your Sunday!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives—choice, not chance, determines your destiny."
Aristotle
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
