A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Greetings PES families,
We have had another beautiful June week of school! With warm temperatures, and lots of outside time, we certainly saw some sunny faces. Please keep sending in waterbottles. ๐ฅค
Congratulations to our Pre-K students, who had their last day of school on Wednesday this week. We are so proud of all their learning this year. ๐
๐ On Wednesday, former Phippsburg students graduating with the 2026 Morse High School class, joined us at PES for some celebrations. We lined the hallway and clapped them through, invited them for lunch, and then had them join us on the playground for some fun. Thank you to the Morse High School team for continuing this great tradition.
๐ Our fourth grade students joined local clam diggers on Monday, to reseed the clam flats at Hermit Island. It was a beautiful day to help give back to our community. Fourth grade students also traveled to Sabattus this week, to release the salmon they have been growing in their classroom tank.
๐ We hope that you will join us on Friday afternoon for our Celebration of Learning. Students have been working hard on their projects. They will surely WOW you with their knowledge.

REMINDERS
- The last day of school for students in K-5 is Thursday, June 18th. It will be a half day, with dismissal at noon-if there are any changes to the usual routine, please notify Mrs. Doran at 389-1514 or tdoran@rsu1.org by 9AM. K-5 students will be dismissed from Head Beach parking lot (bus and parent pickups). Buses may arrive there a few minutes later than they would PES. Miss Robin bus #37 will reverse her route starting at 1743 Main Rd, then all the Sebasco stops, then West Point, back onto Main Rd, then Sam Day Hill Rd, Main Rd, and final stop at Tanny Way. If anyone is being dropped off at the Hatch Pt Flagpole or Basin Rd, they need to take Miss Robin's bus that day and will be Miss Robin's last dropoffs. Parents should check the Bus Right app (Busright.com) to see approximately how close bus 37 is. Mrs. Doran will be staying in the office that day until 12:45ish for radio communication.
- Mister Dave's bus #29 will take Popham Rd and Parker Head/Tugboat Ln/Francis Wyman Ln riders, along with his usual riders.
- Please be sure to check the Lost & Found when you visit the school. Our collection is located in the middle hall and on the bench. Any items left over after June 18th will be donated to charity.
- Yearbooks will be handed out next week for signing. Students, be sure to write your name inside your yearbook; stickers were affixed to the plastic wrap on the outside.
- This will be the final newsletter of the 2025-2026 school year.
- The first day of school for K-5 is August 31st, and Pre-K will start September 4th.
PES FIELD DAY JUNE 18
On Thursday, June 18th, the last day of school, Field Day will be held at Head Beach (if it is raining, it will be held at PES in the gym). Students will be dismissed to the buses from there at Noon; arrival times at home may vary by 15 minutes at the North end of town, but all will be 3 hours earlier than normal.
What your student will need to wear/bring:
Clothes to play and move in!
Sturdy shoes - like sneakers (to run in)
A full water bottle
Please apply sunblock and bug spray before school.
A NOTE FROM THE NURSE
Just a reminder that all remaining student medications (prescription, over the counter, inhalers, etc.) must be picked up on the last day of school (June 18th). (Mrs. Doran will be at the school while students are at Field Day at Head Beach, so parents can pick up medications at school, on their way to the beach.) Anything left after the last day will be disposed of.
