WPS Superintendent Updates

A Message from Dr. Gough
June 12, 2026
As we near the conclusion of the school year, weβd like to share a few important reminders. The last day for our preschool students is June 16 and the last day for students K-11 is June 18. Please be reminded that due to the World Cup match, June 16 will be an early release day.
We continue to be grateful to the staff for their dedication and hard work, and we appreciate the partnership with our families and the Walpole community. We ask families to please check for any updates from their childβs principals regarding the last days of school.
On Sunday, June 7, the Walpole community celebrated our 152nd commencement ceremony to honor Walpole High Schoolβs graduating senior class of 2026. Thank you to the staff and volunteers who made this such a meaningful celebration. We appreciate all of our graduatesβ hard work and contributions, and we wish them continued success as they embark on a journey filled with new opportunities.
Finally, we congratulate and recognize our amazing 2025-2026 retirees. We thank them for enriching the lives of our students, and we wish them a very happy retirement.
Have a wonderful summer.
