ATTENDANCE MATTERS ✅
FROM MS. SHAFFER
Hello Parents! This week I hope your child was one of our fantastic Bobcats that received a certificate that showed that they improved their attendance! The students had so much fun when we took their pictures on Friday and they were so proud!
We are still looking at attendance and we are not done with our backpack challenge which ends on September 30th. They get one raffle ticket per day they are here at Felicita!
Again our goal for our school is to have an average of 94% Average Daily Attendance. As of Thursday unfortunately our ADA has increased to 96.7%↑. Our SEAT team is going to be looking at our data and seeing why we had the increase but please remember EVERY DAY COUNTS! When your child misses school, they miss out!
Regular student attendance plays a critical role in our collective mission to ensure every student achieves their fullest potential.
Why Attendance Should Be a Top Priority:
Academic Achievement: Regular attendance is fundamental to student success. Each school day is a building block in the learning process. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with coursework, understand key concepts, and perform better academically.
Social and Emotional Development: School is a place where students develop crucial social skills and emotional resilience. Frequent absences can hinder their ability to form strong relationships with peers and teachers, impacting their overall development.
Future Opportunities: Consistent attendance is linked to higher graduation rates and better long-term outcomes, including higher education and career prospects. By prioritizing attendance, we are directly contributing to students' future success.
School Culture: Regular attendance fosters a positive school culture and enhances the learning environment for everyone. It creates a sense of community and ensures that all students have equal access to the resources and support they need.
Felicita Back to School Attendance Challenge!
If we start strong we stay strong! Starting on Tuesday September 2nd, your child's name will be entered into a raffle for each day they are at school for the month of September for a chance to win a new backpack full of Felicita swag and other cool items! We will announce the winner at our ROAR assembly on October 3rd! Remember Every Day Counts!
