WELCOME BACK! WELCOME BACK!

Welcome Grace Families!

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Grace, and right away we would like you to know that from this moment on, we consider you part of our family. God has blessed Grace with quite a family history, as Grace has been serving the Lord in Escondido for over 100 years!

We recognize that the Lord has called us to serve a diverse population and student body. We expect to serve students that come from Grace Lutheran Church, other Christian churches, and non-Christian families. For students of our church families, we seek to supplement their Christian education they receive in the congregation. For students from other Christian churches, we seek to support their Christian education in their home congregation. We are not competitors, but rather complementary ministries! For students from non-Christian families, we seek to teach what the Christian faith is, so that students correctly understand who God is and what the Bible tells us about God.

We pray that you will find Grace a safe environment to further explore your own questions of faith in a place where people strive to treat one another in the manner the Lord Jesus Christ has modeled.

We are a Biblically-based congregation, and you will find that every ministry, every policy, every program has its mooring in the divine Word of our God. Through God’s Word, most certainly your children will grow by leaps and bounds this year in the knowledge of God, their loving Father, and in His Son, their personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that you, too, will grow along with them! To this end, we encourage you to seek out a church home.

As the leaders of this Christian congregation, we feel privileged to work and grow alongside a diverse group of people, and it is the cry of our heart that you, too, might find a loving, accepting, and truth-centered church home. We pray that for many of you, Grace might just become that home! For those of you who already have one, continue to foster that connection while at Grace Christian School!

We are here to serve our Lord Jesus, and we carry out that mission by serving you to the best of our abilities! If you ever need anything or have any questions or concerns about the teachings or ministries of Grace Lutheran Church and Christian School, feel free to contact us at 760-747-3029.

Once again, it is great to have you as a vital part of our family, and we look forward to getting to know you on a more personal level.

May the richest blessings of God be with you and your family through the truth, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ!

Covid Decision Tree Summary

  1. Virtually any symptom is considered a COVID symptom with the exception of an earache. Call the school office to report your child’s symptom/s or if they have been in close contact (within 6 feet over 15 minutes) with a COVID positive person, (760-747-3029 x 7115.)
  2. If they have NOT been in close contact, the child must stay at home for 24 hours AFTER their symptoms have improved AND they are fever free without taking fever reducing medicine.
  3. If they HAVE been in close contact with a COVID positive person and they DO NOT develop symptoms, they should get tested for COVID 5 days after being exposed and again 3 days after that. If both tests come back “Negative”, they may return to school with a copy of their test results.
  4. If they HAVE been in close contact with a COVID positive person and they develop symptoms, they stay home for 10 days after the first symptom is experienced and then may return to school.
  5. If an adult or student has been in close contact with a COVID positive person and they have NO symptoms AND are vaccinated or have had COVID 90 days prior to exposure, quarantine is NOT required. They should test 5 days after exposure and turn in a copy of their Negative test.
  6. Any student that has been vaccinated should bring in a copy for their student file.

Any questions can be directed to Deborah at the front desk. 760-747-3029 x 7115.

Grace Facilities Volunteers Needed

Grace is looking for volunteers to work with maintenance personnel to manage our current and future property care. The committee would document where certain necessary equipment is located, document repairs previously performed, and create a repair/replacement schedule for the property. The committee would also assist in determining financially feasible options for repairs, which could include paid assistance and also organizing work parties.

If you would have knowledge in this area or would simply like to help with projects, please contact Larry Berkel at darla.larry@cox.net or call Larry at 619-993-4425 for more information.

Of course your family is also welcome to join us at worship. 9:00 English and 10:30 Spanish. www.gracelutheranescondido.org
