Students will participate in a two-week exchange (one week of traveling to discover a new town; one week of rediscovering Durham alongside visiting students). Have your student fill out an interest form, or consider becoming a host family today. For more information, reach out to our wonderful teacher leaders and exchange managers Mr. Dorian Burton, Ms. Jessica Odom, or Ms. Smith-Traore or visit americanexchangeproject.org.

  • Students can pick up their Chromebook between 8:45 a.m. and 9:10 a.m., during their assigned lunch, or after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • Please be sure to allow at least a 24-hour processing time for technology fee payments or waiver request submissions.

  • Students who have an outstanding device still assigned to them will not receive a second device.

  • We do not have chargers available to distribute to each student. Jordan students who returned a charger at the end of last school year will receive a charger. The Chromebooks use UL-approved 65-watt USB-C chargers and families are encouraged to purchase a charger if their child did not receive one.

  • Students are allowed to bring their own laptop for use at school under the Durham Public Schools "Bring Your Own Technology Initiative" Board Policy.
