Happy Friday,

We had a great start to the week with our Breakfast Club team serving pancakes to almost 100 kids on Pancake Tuesday. Mrs Smith, Mrs Rodgers and Joy are a great team and always give our kids a warm welcome every morning. Thanks to them for their early starts each day.

In assembly today we had a visit from Craig from the Bible Society. He told us the story of William Tyndale and how he gave his life to making sure the Bible was translated from Latin into English so everyone could access it. He then left a Bible for every child.

Our School Council raised an amazing £952 on Break the Rules Day before half-term. We have just ordered new desks and chairs for some of our classes that needed it from money that was raised previously. This will allow us to extend this to other classes too.

Our Book Fair raised an amazing £1042 for new books. We look forward to spending this on some new class novels and picture books which help us understand and learn valuable life skills.

We would really encourage you to come along to this parent information session. As Reading has been a key focus on our School Development Plan this year we, as a staff, have recently learnt so much and our belief that Reading is the key which opens so many doors has been reignited. So come along and share in this learning journey with us on Tuesday night at 7:00.

Our Wellbeing Warriors understand the importance of giving and thinking of others so they organised a Bake Sale. Some of our amazing bakers in P4-P7 are providing buns on Thurs for our Macmillan Cancer Fundraiser. All buns are £1 each and 2 may be purchased if there are enough.

Our P5-P7 shows will run on Mon 23rd March at 1:00 and 7:00, Tuesday 24th March at 7:00. These will be in the Arnold Hall this year. Tickets will go on sale Mon 9th March.

We are a cashless school and all payments are made through SchoolMoney. If you have any trouble getting on please email Joy in the office at jwhitley697@c2kni.net.
