News from JCHS
Johns Creek High School will be hosting Gainesville High School for a Varsity Football game on Friday, October 9, 2026, beginning at 7:30 pm. Please be advised that ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult per 4 students). The adult must remain with the student(s) for the duration of the game. Any middle school student found without adult supervision will be escorted from the stadium and asked to contact a parent for pickup.
PE Uniforms
To promote good hygiene, students are required to change into their PE uniforms in order to participate in PE. Students should also make sure to secure their uniforms and personal belongings in their PE locker by locking them.
We strongly encourage students write their names on the outside of their uniforms with a permanent marker to help identify misplaced items.
Replacement locks and uniforms can be purchased using the links below:

AMMS earns Common Sense Media Recognition!
Common Sense Media, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology, has recognized Autrey Mill Middle School as a Common Sense Media Recognized School.
Students today have more possibilities at their fingertips than any previous generation. But making the most of itβknowing what to trust, who to credit, and when to close the laptopβis something students need to be taught. Autrey Mill Middle School has demonstrated its commitment to taking a whole-community approach to that work: helping students take ownership of their digital lives, look at a social feed and see the algorithm behind it, tell reporting from opinion from advertising, and understand the difference between using AI to think harder and using it to avoid thinking. This recognition acknowledges the school's commitment to creating a culture of digital literacy and well-being among its students.
"Digital literacy and well-being aren't separate subjects; they're woven into how students research, create, and make decisions every day, including how they use AI. We applaud the faculty and staff of Autrey Mill Middle Scohol for treating those skills as essential. They're giving students the judgment to participate thoughtfully in a world where the tools keep changing,β Merve Lapus, VP of Education and Engagement, Common Sense Media.
Autrey Mill Middle School has been using Common Sense Media's research-based digital literacy resources. Grounded in the real issues that students and teachers face, the program teaches students, educators, and families tangible skills in media literacy, digital citizenship, AI literacy, privacy, online kindness, and digital well-being. The free Kβ12 curriculum is used in classrooms across all 50 states, in more than 70% of U.S. schools, and by more than a million educators worldwide.

Redistricting Communication
As you may be aware from a recent district message, Fulton County Schools will consider changes to attendance zones and evaluate school capacity through a redistricting/consolidation/closure process this fall.
The process involves Geographic Region A (schools located south of the City of Atlanta) and Geographic Region C (schools located north of the Chattahoochee River). Because our school is located within Region C, we encourage parents and community members to stay informed, learn more, and provide input.
Information about upcoming community forums is available at www.fultonschools.org/redistricting and in the attached flyer.
Student Checkout Procedure
To check out your student early, send a written note the morning of the appointment stating the pickup time. Your student should bring the note to the front desk upon arrival, where staff will stamp it, this becomes their pass to leave class at the designated time and meet you in the front office.
This keeps disruptions to class time minimal and checkouts running smoothly.
Questions? Call the front desk at 470-254-7622.
