Principal's Update
Dear Ridgeview,
As we approach the Thanksgiving break, I'm reflecting on the many things we are grateful for within our school community. This season reminds us of the importance of connection, kindness, and supporting one another—values that our students and staff demonstrate every day.
This week, our school experienced a profound loss. We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our students, Genesis Grimes, who tragically lost her life last Saturday. Genesis was a cherished member of our school family, and her vibrant spirit and warm presence touched the lives of many. Our hearts are with her family, friends, and all who are grieving during this incredibly difficult time.
Our counseling team is available to support students and staff who may need someone to talk to. Please encourage your children to reach out if they are feeling overwhelmed or unsure how to process this loss. Grief affects everyone differently, and we are committed to providing a safe, caring space for all.
As we enter the Thanksgiving holiday, let's hold our loved ones a little closer and remember the importance of community. I am grateful for each of you and for the strength and compassion that define our school.
Wishing you and your families peace, comfort, and a restorative break.
Warmly,
Principal Thomas Garrett

Mr. Bell's Engineering students started a hands-on activity within the Electrical unit titled “Paper Circuit Art”. They created a sure-to-impress flashing or light-up greeting cards—all with paper circuits! Students created their circuitry using only copper tape, a coin cell battery, a light-emitting diode and small electronic components such as a LilyPad Button Board. This project is a great way to teach the basics of how circuits function while giving students an outlet to express their creativity!
