Principal's Corner
We had some great fun at the Move-a-thon. Lots of smiling faces and people moving all around. We raised some money at the bake sale and we are still hoping to have some more donations come in.
Please send the link to family and friends letting them know this is a great way to support the school you love. Donations are earmarked for BFPP and will support field trips, supplies, guest speakers and community events. Below is the pledge sheet you can use to record your collected donations. There is a QR code on the sheets for easy donations too. There are also a few pledge sheets available at Sheri's desk. Please turn in all donations by Oct. 31st.
Warmly,
Your Proud Principal Kate
Counselor's Corner
Greetings BFPP Families,
How is your autumn going so far? I hope that you and your family are well! This week BFPP had its first Move-A-Thon and it was wonderful to see so many people join in the fun. There were lots of different choices for how to get moving which made me think about all the different ways we can engage our bodies to improve our learning and mental health. How do you like to keep moving?

We will have food available around 12 noon. Food will be put in the family lounge after the community meal, and it will be available to anyone who would like some. Please feel free to eat it here at BFPP or take some home for your family. Over the next couple weeks we will be adjusting the plan for this as needed. Plastic Film Recycling Drive
Dear BFFP community,
We have the chance to keep plastic film out of landfills! This fall, our Leadership in Action Class is hosting a Ridwell recycling drive. You’re invited to bring plastic film (ziptop bags, grocery bags, bubble wrap, etc.) to school on Nov. 4-14 for recycling. Start collecting plastic film now so you have a bunch to bring during the drive! This info sheet explains what plastic film is and why it’s hard to recycle, and this video shows a ton of examples. All the plastic film we collect during the drive will be turned into Trex decking!
Curious about Ridwell at-home recycling pickup? They collect hundreds of hard-to-recycle items, like plastic food packaging, lightbulbs, clothes, Styrofoam, and more. You'll help BFPP earn rewards if you sign up for a household membership by December 15. We’ll earn pickup of BFPP's plastic film all spring when 10 new members sign up, and a field trip to the Ridwell warehouse when 20 new members sign up. Find out more at https://get.ridwell.com/bfpp - it's a unique link for BFPP. Share with family and friends!
Thank you!
