Help us improve SAAC!
We'd love to see more involvement in our School Accountability Advisory Committee! Please take a moment to fill out this survey so we can better meet the needs of Carrie Martin families. SAAC is a state-mandated committee, but more than that, it's a great chance to dig into the academic, behavioral and schoolwide data that impact Carrie Martin.
There is only one meeting left this year! It will be held in Carrie Martin's computer lab.
- Tuesday, March 31, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (date is tentative, depending on when we receive staffing allocation information from the district).
All are welcome, and there's no need to RSVP. Hope to see you at the next meeting.

February Leader In Me Family Homework
Hello Carrie Martin Families! Share a photo of your family practicing the Leader in Me Habit of the Month by uploading it to our Padlet!
HOW TO: Click or scan the QR code in the PDF below, tap the “+” button in the lower right corner of the website, add your photo (and a short caption if you’d like), then hit Publish. That's all there is to it! Photos can include your students/family, but they certainly do not have to. For example, for Habit 6, you could upload a picture of a puzzle or board game you are doing together or even a completed project.
Students will still earn 10 Tiger Tails for participating, and the photos will be proudly displayed on our lobby TV for the month!
Kidspak Annual Food Drive
The KidsPak Annual City-Wide Food Drive is coming up on February 27, 28, and March 1, and it is one of the most impactful weekends of our year. Last year alone, this three-day event brought in nearly $75,000 worth of food, accounting for about one-third of all the food we distributed to students throughout the entire year.
The success of the Food Drive is made possible by community involvement. More than 500 volunteers help greet shoppers, collect donations, and ensure food goes directly to students experiencing food insecurity.

Chromebook Insurance Options for Families
There’s still time to insure your student’s chromebook! Learn more about insurance options and pricing on our website at tsd.org/its > Tech 4 All > Chromebook Insurance. One break is typically more expensive than the cost of insurance.
Lost or broken Charging cord?
Visit the Tech4All section of our website to purchase a new, approved chromebook charger. Purchasing from our website is often $10-$15 less than the $25 fine for a missing charger.
Boys & Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Club will be offering after school care at Carrie Martin this year. Use the link below for more information about their hours, costs and how to sign up.
