Virginia Long Course Senior Champs Champions!
Over the weekend NOVA 15 & Over swimmers competed extremely well against teams from across the state at Virginia Senior Championships. It was an awesome four days of fast Prelims / Finals swimming at the Collegiate School Aquatic Center. NOVA had over 100 swimmers in the meet including some of our alumni who were home from college!
NOVA swimmers came home with a victory on boys, girls, and combined team categories. We brought home the team banner with a total of 2297.5 points, more than the combined score of the 2nd through 4th place teams. Some other highlights include 7 out of 10 relay wins, 4 relay state records and 454 individual best times! NOVA swimmers had over 30 new NCSA Junior, Winter Junior, Summer Junior, and Senior National cuts and 108 new time standard improvements.
This is a very impressive list of accomplishments for a meet that is only part of our long course championship season. Looking ahead, many of our senior swimmers will be headed across the country in the next couple weeks to compete against swimmers in Indianapolis at NCSA Juniors, or to Irvine to compete in Senior Nationals and Junior Nationals. Make sure to wish them luck when you see them on deck this week!

NOVA Elevate
NOVA Families -
Every day, NOVA swimmers benefit from the vision and generosity of the families who came before them and helped make our Regency home a reality. While our doors are open and our programs are thriving, our capital campaign is not quite finished. One final arrow remains on the donor wall that lines our hallway, waiting to be filled with the names of the families who will help complete this journey.
By making a pledge or donation by July 31, your family can become a permanent part of NOVA’s history while investing in its future. Pledge Here Donate NOW
The opportunities your swimmer enjoys today were made possible by others who believed in NOVA’s mission. Now, together, we can finish what we started and ensure that generations of swimmers to come can continue to elevate.
With gratitude, Julie Farney
