🍂 Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences

We are looking forward to connecting with our Hillcrest families during our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences!

Conferences will be approximately 10–15 minutes, depending on class size. An online sign-up form will be sent to families around October 1st with information on how to select a conference time.

🛡️ Standard Response Protocol

Over the past few weeks, our teachers have been reviewing the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) with our students. These protocols help ensure that students and staff know what to do in different emergency situations and provide our school with a consistent language and response.

Students have been learning about the five SRP actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. Teachers have been discussing what each response means and helping students understand how to respond calmly and safely.

Our goal is to make sure students feel informed, prepared, and confident in knowing what to do if an emergency situation occurs. We appreciate our staff for taking the time to review these important safety procedures with our students and helping us make safety a priority at Hillcrest Elementary.

We have also attached information about the Standard Response Protocol for parents and families to review at home. We encourage you to take a few minutes to look over the information so you are familiar with the language and procedures we are teaching our students.
