Talking With Children About Technology - Conversations Matter: Research suggests that when families talk with children about technology, not just set rules, kids have more opportunities for meaningful back‑and‑forth interactions that support language, connection, and understanding of media use. For example, studies show that each extra minute of screen time is linked with fewer conversations between caregivers and young children, while talking together helps keep communication strong and connected.
Take a moment to ask your child why they’re using technology, what they’re doing with it, and how it makes them feel. These conversations can matter as much as the screen time itself.

All stops are estimated times of arrival.
Students should be out at their stop at least five minutes before the scheduled time of arrival.
All students need to be in plain sight to ensure proper pick-up. The bus should not be expected to stop and honk if you are not visible. Please be out before the bus arrives.
Times could change due to traffic, weather, train crossings, students riding or not riding, etc.

We are beginning to prepare for the upcoming Baseball and Softball Season. Practices will begin the end of March and the season will wrap up the first week in June.
These teams are open to students in 7th and 8th Grade. Our team configurations will depend on the number of enrolled students. Interested students are expected to have a basic understanding of the game and an ability to catch and throw a ball. Coaches will provide and opportunity for students to further develop their knowledge and skills throughout the season.
SATEC Track and Field for Grades 5-8
SATEC is excited to offer a Track and Field program again this spring for Grades 5-8.
Registration will remain open until March 20th.
Once we know the level of interest we will confirm our practice schedule. To help gain a sense of the practice commitment, last year we tried to schedule 3 practices per week with many of them held at Collins Perley. Practice times at Collins Perley were 5:00-6:00 on M/W/F.
We are hoping to start practices the week of April 6th (weather dependent).
