π΅ News from the Office
Dear MACC Families,
Thank you to all of our families who joined us for Parent-Teacher Conferences last week! π We appreciate you taking the time to connect with us and being such an important part of your child's first years of school. Keeping communication open both ways helps us work together to support your child as they learn and grow. πΎ
π Our First VIP Day!
We are excited to welcome our special guests for our first VIP Day of the year! Join us for an hour of Halloween costumes, games, and fun with your favorite little Wildcat. We can't wait to see everyone dressed up and making special memories together!
π A Little ReminderβRead Every Day!
One of the very best things you can do to support your child's learning is to read together every day! Even just a few minutes of sharing a book, talking about pictures, or enjoying a favorite story makes a BIG difference. Those little moments really do add up! β€οΈ
With heartfelt gratitude,
Jennifer Stoneman

State & Federal Programs
The MACC Paw Print will be sent out to families every two weeks. Watch for it in your e-mail on Mondays. It will also be posted on the MACC website page. The next newsletter to be sent out November 9, 2026.
π VIP Day : Halloween Costume Guidelines
π Keep it Spooky, Not Scary: Avoid costumes with violent or bloody images. It's okay to look "spooky," but nothing gruesome or violent.
ποΈ Masks and Makeup: Masks that cover the eyes and face are fine, as long as your child can see clearly. Please keep makeup minimal and apply it at home. Remember, learning is still happening, so your child will need to remove their mask during class.
π§₯ Safe Costumes: Make sure your childβs costume doesnβt have anything hanging below the wrist or ankle to avoid tripping or getting things caught.
π Easy-to-Carry Props: If your child has props, they should be easy to manage, especially if they take the bus.
π« No Weapons: Please donβt include any toy weapons in the costume.
π· Inflatable Costumes: Inflatable costumes are fun, but they are not practical for school. If your child chooses to wear an inflatable costume to school, it is very likely it will have to be deflated for a majority of the school day.

π΅ Student Illness
Friendly Reminder -
Students should be fever-free, diarrhea-free, and vomit-free for 24 HOURS before a child should return to school.
For example: If a student had a fever, an episode of diarrhea, or vomited any time on Sunday, the child should not come to school on Monday, but should wait until Tuesday to ensure he/she doesn't have another episode.
This is not only to protect other children, but also the sick child, as children can get a secondary illness and get a set-back from the previous illness.
π΅ Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease
Dear Parents,
We have had a couple cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth in our school. We are notifying you with the information below to ensure you recognize the symptoms and can take appropriate measures to keep your student healthy. To understand Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) as outlined by the Michigan Health Department, consider the following points:
β To prevent spreading HFMD, wash your hands often, clean and disinfect surfaces, and avoid close contact with others.
β HFMD is a common viral illness primarily affecting children under 5 years old.
β Symptoms include fever, sore throat, and painful sores in the mouth, along with a rash on hands and feet.
β The disease is highly contagious and spreads through direct contact with an infected personβs saliva, blister fluid, or feces.
β Good hygiene practices, such as frequent handwashing, can help prevent the spread of HFMD.
β There is no specific treatment; management focuses on relieving symptoms and ensuring hydration.
β Consult a healthcare provider if symptoms worsen or if there are concerns about complications.
