Dear Pingree Community,
Welcome February! It sure came in cold, but it's starting to warm up again. Hopefully, we will be out for recess all week!
Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Kathleen Lander who will officially be staying on as our Assistant Principal! Ms. Lander comes to us with so much experience working as a teacher and Special Education Coach here in Weymouth. She has been with us since October and we are so excited that she will continue here at Pingree as our Assistant Principal!
We had lots of fun and exciting events this week. We had a whole-school assembly wto kick off February. We gather together to do our announcements as a school, honor the start of Black History Month with some inspiring quotes from poet laureate, Amanda Gorman and we announced our Praise Paw Winners for January: Mrs. Butler-Bowen and Ms. Perez's class. In addition, 5th graders made their own musical instruments with Ms. Abraham and participated in some exciting science experiments with Ms. Marcella.
