ICYMI: New Enhanced Saucon Valley School District Seal
Through the years, Saucon Valley School District has prided itself on its commitment to academic excellence, Panther pride, and the dedicated community that supports us. Today, we're excited to introduce an enhanced Saucon Valley School District seal to represent those key areas.
The new seal is the result of a project nearly two years in the making. A Branding Committee – made up of school board members, teachers, staff, and community members – met regularly and discussed Saucon Valley history, brainstormed ideas, and fine-tuned concepts. We’re thankful for the thought, dedication, and insight of the members and the many community voices expressed throughout the process.
The new seal creates a distinctive visual identity for our district while honoring the symbols and traditions that generations of Saucon Valley families know. You'll notice familiar elements that pay tribute to our past – including references to our first graduating class, our commitment to scholarship and achievement, and the heritage that has shaped Saucon Valley for decades. If the design looks familiar, that’s because it is; it’s an enhanced version of what is currently featured on diplomas issued by Saucon Valley.
Symbolism
H: The “H” represents our past and Hellertown High School’s first graduating class of 1898.
SV: The “SV” represents who we are today: Three schools under the umbrella of Saucon Valley School District.
Burning Torch, Branches, Book and Scroll: These symbols reflect the district’s continuous commitment to academic excellence and achievement and mission of preparing students to become creative problem-solvers, makers and citizens ready for tomorrow.
Panther Mascot
One thing isn't changing: The Panther Mascot is here to stay.
The Panther remains one of the district's most recognizable and beloved symbols. Going forward, it will continue to serve as the primary mark representing our athletics, student activities, clubs and, of course, school spirit.
The new district seal has a different purpose. It will represent the official business of the district. You will see it on official communication issued by the district, board communications, the website, signage, district social media and other relevant items.
We thank you for your commitment to and support of Saucon Valley School District. We are excited to continue strengthening the district brand in an intentional way that reflects the incredible work happening across our three schools. By presenting a clear, unified brand, we can better celebrate our students, staff and district as a whole. Thank you for being partners with us as we continue to tell the Saucon Valley story with pride, purpose and unity.
Please take a moment to watch our short Welcome to Saucon Valley video. Thank you to everyone who took part!
Continued Improvements to District Website
This summer, Saucon Valley School District made updates to our website to create a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for students, families, staff and community members.
The improvements include clearer navigation between district and school pages, as well as expanded submenus that make it easier to find information without having to search through multiple pages. It also features our new seal.
These changes were directly inspired by feedback from our Student Advisory Council, which identified website navigation as an area for improvement. After hearing their feedback, our team got to work on the updates this summer.
We hope the new navigation makes it easier to find the information you need and explore everything happening across Saucon Valley School District. Throughout the school year, we will continue to make improvements to enhance the user experience.
Take a look around and explore the new and improved website!

Technology Updates
Make Sure to Stay Connected This School Year
NEW FOR THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR: To make school communication easier and more direct, the ParentSquare app is now pre-installed on every student iPad.
Quick Action Needed on Student iPads
To make sure your student doesn't miss important class updates, announcements, or school reminders, please remind them to complete two quick steps on their district iPad:
Log In: Open the ParentSquare app on their iPad and log in using their district account. This will be their Gmail password, unless they changed the password.
Enable Notifications: When prompted, tap "Allow Notifications." Keeping notifications turned on ensures instant updates about their classes, assignments, and school events.
NEW THIS YEAR: Direct Two-Way Messaging
We are thrilled to launch two-way classroom messaging!
Teachers have full access to their class rosters inside ParentSquare.
Easier Outreach: Teachers can message students and families directly about class updates, assignments, and reminders. They will also have the ability to send a weekly update on Fridays.
Two-Way Communication: You can message your student's teachers directly through the ParentSquare app or website anytime you have a question.
Don't Have the ParentSquare App on Your Personal Phone?
While students will use ParentSquare on their iPads, parents and guardians can stay in the loop on their own devices, too.
Download: Search for ParentSquare in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Log In: Use the email address or phone number on file with the district.
Set Your Preferences: Choose whether you want messages delivered instantly or grouped into a single, daily summary (Digest) at 6 p.m.

Years of Service Recognition
This year, Saucon Valley is proudly recognizing employees who have reached significant service milestones and honoring their dedication to our students, schools and community.
Working in a school district is, in many ways, a labor of love. Our employees choose to spend their time in classrooms, hallways, offices, buses, cafeterias and countless other spaces that make Saucon Valley the school community it is. The work is not always easy, and challenges arise, but through it all, they continue to show up.
This year, we celebrated employees reaching 5, 10, 20, 30 and 35 years of service. From those beginning their journey at Saucon Valley to those who have dedicated decades to the district, each milestone represents years of commitment, service and care.
This recognition is a tradition we are proud to bring back and build upon in the years ahead. Thank you to all of our honorees for choosing to dedicate your time, talents and years of service to Saucon Valley. Your commitment matters, your work matters, and we are grateful for all you do!
Stay tuned to district social media and the website to learn more about these dedicated individuals as we honor them over the next few weeks.
