6th Grade Field Trip to RapDev in Boston

This week, CAMS 6th graders had an exciting opportunity to visit RapDev in Boston and connect with professionals in STEM careers. Students met team members in HR, engineering, and data analytics. They caught a glimpse of what a day in these professions looks like. Through hands-on activities, students participated in a mock hiring process by building their own professional teams, explored engineering with a spaghetti-and-marshmallow challenge, and learned about the fundamentals of server building.

Planting in Ms. Daisy's classroom

Over the past few months Ms. Daisy and Ms. K class start a science experiment by craving a pumpkin and placing it in a glass jar. Everytime we observed changes in our pumpkin, students documented it in their journals. We watched the pumpkin decompose and rot, then one day a new plant began to grow. The new plant quickly outgrew our jar and we then planted it in our school garden. We were all so amazed to watch the process from beginning to end and see how something old and rotting could turn into a new life.
