The Sheiko Weekly Update

Dear Sheiko Families,

We have had an amazing week of learning at Sheiko Elementary! Our BIG ANNOUNCEMENT this week—we're continuing to grow and strengthen our commitment to Capturing Kids’ Hearts! As a proud Capturing Kids’ Hearts Showcase School, we are always working to deepen our relationships and create a culture where every student feels connected and cared for. To help guide our next steps, please take a moment to complete this short Capturing Kids’ Hearts Survey by Friday, May 2nd. Your feedback is incredibly valuable!

A huge THANK YOU to our families for your support during M-STEP testing! Our students have come to school well-rested, with full bellies, and ready to do their best—and we truly appreciate your partnership.

Wishing all who celebrate a beautiful holiday weekend.

And as always... GOOOOOOOOOO LAKERS!

Dear Families of the West Bloomfield School District,

Helping students do their best in school requires a team effort. Parents, students and school staff all play important roles in this process. To help all of us learn how to make your child's schooling experience as positive and beneficial as possible, please give us your honest, thoughtful responses to the questions below.

Click here for the survey. The survey will be open from April 7-18.

If you have multiple children please complete one survey per child.

Thank you,

Being part of the PTO isn’t just about meetings—it’s about creating memorable experiences for our kids. Whether it’s organizing exciting events, planning fundraisers, or supporting school programs, there are many ways to help. Plus, kids love seeing their parents at school—it makes them feel special and proud!

Why join the PTO?

• Meet other amazing Sheiko parents
• Help plan fun school events
• Support educational programs
• Share ideas & make a real difference

No matter how much time you can give, every little bit helps! Whether you want to volunteer occasionally or take on a bigger role, we’d love to have you on board.

Field Day is Friday May 23rd — and it’s always one of the most fun and exciting days of the year for our students! It’s a day packed with games, laughter, teamwork, and memories they’ll be talking about all summer.

We’re sharing this early so parents have plenty of time to plan ahead and hopefully take time off work if needed. Field Day runs best with lots of helping hands, and we’ll need parent volunteers to help run stations and keep things moving smoothly.

If you’re able to volunteer — we’d love to have you join us and be part of the fun! Sign up via the sign up genius below!

Thank you!!
