Happy February!

Happy February!

Even with the winter chill in the air, things are heating up here at school! February is a month of reflection and transition as we celebrate our progress and set our sights on the exciting spring months ahead. Can you believe next Wednesday (2/11) is our 100th day of school?!

Here is a look at what’s happening in our hallways:

This week, we participated in the Day of Play as a school. It was an inspiring and joyful day to see students interacting, collaborating, problem solving, and showing their creativity. We believe that Social Emotional growth is just as important as academic success here.

Coming up this month, students will participate in our mid-year AimsWeb benchmark testing in the areas of ELA and Math. These assessments are essential "check-ins" that help our teachers understand students' skills and allows our school teams to support each student to make growth. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions around their progress so far this year.

Looking ahead: March is just around the corner! In March, we focus on a love of Literacy through PARP (Pick a Reading Partner), where each family receives a book and our whole school reads and participates in activities together. We also have a family Literacy Night upcoming (more details to come!)

We want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and we appreciate your efforts in making this a successful year for everyone.

Sincerely,

Denielle Toth and Taylor Ramsey
