Principal's Message
Assalam Aleikum!
Dear NISL Families,
Congratulations to our Science Fair winners in grades 3–8! Our In-School Science Fair Awards Ceremony was held on Monday, February 23rd.
We are so proud of all of our students who participated. It takes courage, discipline, and perseverance to research, experiment, analyze results, and present findings.
But it’s not over yet!
We are excited to share that 21 of our middle school students will be competing at the Louisville Regional Science and Engineering Fair (LRSEF) on March 7th at the University of Louisville. This is an incredible opportunity for them to represent our school, compete alongside students from across the region, and continue refining their scientific skills.
If you or someone in our community has a background in science, engineering, research, or presentation skills and would be willing to mentor our students as they prepare for LRSEF, we would love your support. Please reach out to Br. Omar Mahran at omahran@nurislamicschool.org to volunteer.
May Allah continue to put barakah in our students’ efforts and allow their knowledge to benefit them and the Ummah.
Sincerely,
Aisha Blagaia

NHS Serving the Community
NHS students hit the ground running since the induction ceremony last month. In addition to electing officers and creating council hoodies, last Saturday, they were busy packing food for our neighbors in need. The high schoolers teamed up with the annual "Ramadan Groceries Drive 2026". May Allah you all for serving the community. Keep up the great work, mashaAllah.
Love those NHS hoodies, by the way!

Donate to our Barakah Store!
Our school-wide Barakah Store is one of the ways we reinforce positive behavior, effort, and character across both our K-8 and high school campuses. Students work hard to earn their Barakah Bucks, and they take great pride in saving and spending them on meaningful rewards.
We are kindly asking for your support in donating items to help restock our stores. You may:
• Purchase items directly from our Amazon Wish List link
• Donate new items of your choice that are high value and motivating for students
Our students range in age from 5 to 18 years old, so items that appeal across elementary, middle, and high school levels are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for helping us continue building a culture of excellence, responsibility, and positive character.
May Allah reward you for supporting our students.
