It heard acorn-y joke.

Tickets on Sale: CVHS Presents, Mean Girls!
Tickets are on sale now for CV’s fall musical, Mean Girls.
Tuesday, November 10th - Saturday, November 14th
7:00 PM Each Night + a 1 PM Saturday Matinee
Mean Girls is the high-energy, "fetch" musical phenomenon that proves high school is a literal jungle. When Cady Heron moves from the African savanna to suburban Illinois, she quickly learns that the apex predators aren’t lions, they’re The Plastics. Led by the diamond-hard Regina George, this trio of queen bees rules North Shore High with a mix of glitter and gossip that will leave you breathless. With a powerhouse pop-rock score and a razor-sharp script by Tina Fey, the show brilliantly balances hilarious nostalgia with a modern heart. Grab your seat and prepare for a riotous, high-stakes lesson in popularity, friendship, and the consequences of the "Burn Book." Just remember: we wear pink, and you definitely can't sit with anyone else until you've seen this show!
This show is Rated PG-13 for adult language, teen drinking, and mature topics.
Parter with PTO for Halloween Treats!
Let's come together to celebrate our wonderful CV staff with a fun Halloween Treat Day! PTO would love your help in making it extra special by donating a treat or two for our team. Both Sam's Club and Walmart offer great options for buying treats. Thank you so much in advance for helping us show our appreciation to our AMAZING CV staff. Your kindness truly makes a difference!
Please bring donated items to the office on October 26th & 27th. Thank you!
Parking Permit - Expanded Access
If you are a Junior or Senior, you will have through fall break to apply for a permit if you do not already have one. Sophomores, will be given the opportunity to apply for a permit after fall break.
Spots will then be assigned on a first-come-first served basis until we are out of passes, regardless of grade level.
Apple Awards - Nominate an Exceptional Educator
Each year, the Foundation for Douglas County Schools honors exceptional DCSD staff through the Apple Awards. Click here to nominate a Castle View staff member who inspires a love of learning in students and is a trailblazer for innovation! DCSD MLO
How will my school benefit?
The Douglas County School District Board of Education recently voted unanimously to place a $54 million Mill Levy Override (MLO) on the November ballot. If passed by voters, this is how the additional funds would be invested in our school.
Mill Levy Override Dollars
- Increase teacher and staff pay by providing salaries that are more competitive with neighboring school districts
- Increase and maintain school security support, including school resource officers
- Reduce student waitlists for Career and Technical Education programming, including the trades
- Restore student programming such as instrumental music in elementary schools
Visit funding.dcsdk12.org to learn more about the MLO or explore the Douglas County Bond Map to see how funds like these contribute to our neighborhood schools.
Show Up | Show Out | Show Down
Each week throughout this year, we're looking forward to celebrating students who are living our CV values! And every month, we'll select recipients for our Castle View Challenge Coins.
Show Up
Michael Bryant: Michael likes to be involved and is inquisitive. He adds to the classroom.
Jacob Robbins: Jacob SHOWS UP daily at CVHS by his commitment to be inclusive by honoring and supporting our diverse population of students. He's thoughtful, kind, and always willing to go out of his way to recognize and celebrate people. What a great role model for other students. Nicely done!
Cole Mills & Zachary Taylor: Cole and Zach both have a fun presence in science class. They are always asking questions.
Allie O'Toole, Megan O'Toole, Olivia Hayes, Jacob Robbins: These four individuals consistently showed up to support our Unified Kickball team by coming to each of our games this season. They showed us what inclusion truly means by making everyone feel valued, supported, and part of the team. Thank you for being such amazing people and supporting us this year!
Vivian Harvey: Fall testing means preparing over 500 Chromebooks and placing carts strategically throughout the building so computers can be distributed quickly when students arrive on the morning of test day. It is a lot to prepare for! Mrs. Harvey has not only created a smooth workflow to make sure all of our students are taken care of (and plans for contingencies!), but also arrived extra early on test day to triple-check that everything is was place and ready to go. She takes care of us here at CVHS!
Show Out
Show Down
Alia Rathbun: No matter what happens, Alia shows grit every day. Alia, be sure to rest during fall break, you deserve it!
Sabrina Gentry: Sabrina could never get as much acknowledgement as she deserves for all she does for this community. For nearly 20 years, she has balanced our schedules, gotten students all they need to apply to and get into college, the military, or the workforce, coached our thespians to dance beautifully in their shows, and made sure that all of our students have the resources necessary to select the courses they need to graduate and pursue their dreams. This place would very literally not run without her. Also, she keeps us from having four meetings on top of each other in the conference rooms. I cannot stress enough how worthy Sabrina is of a Showdown coin!
Mandy Malson: Mandy has been a colleague who always strives to make our school community a better place, and I appreciate the conversations we have to create actionable steps to make CV better. I appreciate Mandy's openness to listen and work with us as a staff on how we can improve our school community.
Say “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” to your Sabercat and support the Castle View High School PTO by purchasing a Birthday Gram to be displayed on the CVHS marquee! For only $20, your student will get a special shout out on our sign on their birthday! All funds help the CV PTO take care of our staff!
Birthday Grams must be purchased at least 10 days prior to your student’s birthday and will only be displayed on school days (they will not run on breaks).
