RRHS Update - Week of 10/12/2026
October 10th, 2026

Homecoming - Thank You!
A special thank you to our RRHS SCA, their sponsors. Mrs. Prince and Mr. Wallen, and all of the staff and students who made Homecoming special!
Testing Week - PSAT, ASVAB and The Day of Service
PSATs are THIS Wednesday, October 14th!
All students in grades 9-11 will take the digital PSAT 8/9 or the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday. Rock Ridge HS will follow this modified bell schedule. Mrs. Blessing emailed each student on Friday, October 9, with their personal test-day details. Any student with questions or who still needs to complete the Digital Readiness Test should email their Advisory teacher.
Students should bring:
A charged LCPS-issued Chromebook
Charger
Pens/pencils
Water/snack
Any student who forgets their Chromebook will not be allowed to test and will instead be sent to the Auditorium for study hall. Students with Chromebook issues should visit the MPR before test day. Students may not use personal devices to take the PSAT.
LCPS policy does not allow students to bring hand-held calculators on test day. All students are expected to use the Desmos calculator built into the test. Here is a brief tutorial on how to use this calculator.
Seniors who are scheduled for other testing on PSAT Day (those who registered for the ASVAB, or have been scheduled for the WRS or CPR/ First Aid) were contacted by Mrs. Blessing last week and will be emailed their final test details on Tuesday, October 13th.
Any seniors without testing obligations and “B-Day” Academies of Loudoun Students are highly encouraged to participate in Civic Day. If you decide not to participate in Civic Day, you have been scheduled to report to the Auditorium for a Study Hall.
Any student planning for a late arrival or early release should view this document for the attendance policy on PSAT day! Missing school, arriving late, or leaving early because you are not scheduled for a test is not an excused absence.
More information about PSATs at RRHS can be found in this document. Questions about PSATs should be directed to Kathryn Blessing, School Test Coordinator.
