Jessica Sealey, formerly Jessica Horne, is a communications professional with a passion for serving her community through strategic storytelling and public relations. A native of Orrum, North Carolina, she has dedicated her career to effectively advocating for education and local communities.

In 2019, Sealey graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, focusing on Journalism and Public Relations. She honed her skills as editor-in-chief of The Pine Needle and interned at The Laurinburg Exchange before becoming a news reporter for The Robesonian.

In 2022, she transitioned to Chief Communications Officer for the Public Schools of Robeson County, shaping the district’s communication strategy, enhancing social media engagement, and fostering community partnerships. Her dedication to transparency and engagement has positively impacted students, families, and educators.

Sealey’s expertise in media relations and stakeholder engagement makes her an outstanding candidate for the NCSPRA Board of Directors. Her leadership and commitment to education would help advance NCSPRA’s mission and elevate school communication efforts statewide.
