A few words from Principal Rico
It has been a fabulous week here at BFA! As you can imagine, there was significant skepticism around BFA being cell phone/device free, but it has been amazing to see our community come together. Seeing students talking together at lunch and in classrooms has been the highlight. I want to commend all of our students and staff for working hard at making BFA a safe and fun place to be.
We would love to hear from folks on how we can improve, so please reach out and share your thoughts.

After School Opportunities at the CPSC
Hey Students!
Did you know that you can get a free membership to the Collins Perley Complex? All you need to do is have your parent or guardian register an account at https://collinsperleysports.myrec.com.
Once they register for an account they just add you as a dependent. They do not have to pay a single dime. When they get to the page that asks for their payment information they do not need to put anything in. Just go up to the complex and let them know that your parents/guardian created an account and added you and the lovely people at the front desk will get you all set up.
After School @ CPSC will run Monday - Friday 3-4 p.m.
(if school is closed or there is no school then we will not have after school)
So students have your parents create an account.
Get your membership.
And enjoy all the things the CPSC has to offer:
-reserve basketball courts when available
-use the weight room
-take a class
-use the tennis courts with a reservation

BrightArrow Mass Communication Test – Monday, September 8th at 5:00 PM
Maple Run Unified School District will be conducting a test of our BrightArrow communication system on Monday, September 8th, at 5:00 PM. This test helps us ensure that we can communicate quickly, efficiently, and effectively with all staff and families when important information or emergencies arise.
What is BrightArrow?
BrightArrow is Maple Run’s system for sending important updates to families and staff. It allows us to keep everyone informed about school events, schedule changes, emergencies, and other essential information.
How Maple Run uses BrightArrow:
Non-urgent messages (announcements, reminders, updates) are sent Monday - Friday at 5:00 PM via email only.
Urgent or time-sensitive messages (school closings, emergencies, attendance alerts) are sent via email, text, and phone call, but only when necessary.
Action Needed:
Please log into your PowerSchool account and go to Forms → Contact Information - Annual Verification Form to confirm that your contact information is accurate and up-to-date before the Monday, September 8th, 5:00 PM test communication. This ensures you receive messages in the way you prefer.
If your information needs to be updated and you cannot access PowerSchool, please contact your student’s school registrar.
