Elementary:

  • The 6th grade students traveled to the Jr/Sr High School for a sneak peek of our Drama Club's performance at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 7th. We hope to see you this weekend!
  • We’re excited to share that Mrs. Krohns's class has officially reached their Accelerated Reader (AR) goal of 150 ARs! This milestone reflects our students’ hard work, dedication, and growing love for reading.
  • We celebrated our hard-working paraprofessionals with a special lunch and professional development on November 4th designed specially for them. Their impact on our students and staff is immeasurable. We appreciate you!

Jr/Sr:

  • Our PBIS and Halloween activities were a great way to roll into the weekend. We hope our students enjoyed a safe and fun weekend.
  • We are collecting data from parents in order to review our policies and practices here at the Jr/Sr High School. Parent Survey
  • Our high school band students came over and did a combined rehearsal with the beginning band. The students enjoyed the opportunity to come together collectively and experience music. • 12th graders received ZERO referrals for the first two weeks of October.
  • We are so proud of our NHS students volunteering at The Good Samaritan's Thanksgiving Dinner. Being involved in the community is a point of pride for our district.
District:
  • Consider supporting the new Drama club on November 7th or 8th at the High School at 6:30pm with a production of "Knock Knock"!
  • Our MiMTSS awards are released! Congratulations to our staff for ALL of the work that goes into building a data informed system that impacts all people of BCS.

Bellevue Community and Staff,

What a fantastic week here in Bellevue! It’s been great to walk through our schools and see students engaged, teachers collaborating, and so many positive things happening across the district. The energy and pride is easy to see and feel.

A big thank-you goes out to our staff for your continued dedication and teamwork. You go above and beyond for our students every single day, and it shows. To our families and community members, your support means a lot. Whether you’re volunteering, cheering from the stands, or helping at home, you’re a big part of what makes Bellevue such a special place to learn and grow.

As we head into the weekend, I want to give a special shoutout to our Drama Club for their upcoming production! These students and staff have put in countless hours behind the scenes and on stage, and I know their hard work will shine. If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, come out and support their performance. It’s always amazing to see our students’ creativity and talent on display.

Let’s keep the momentum going as we move into another great week. Enjoy your weekend, take a little time to recharge, and celebrate all that’s happening in Bellevue!

Subject: Safety and Awareness in Our Schools

Bellevue Community,

Please remind students that if they see or hear something that doesn’t seem right, whether in person, online, or through social media, they should report it immediately to a trusted adult, staff member, or the police. Even if something feels minor, it’s always better to speak up and let us investigate.

It’s also important to talk with your students about the seriousness of making false threats. These situations are treated with the same level of urgency as real ones and can carry serious consequences. Every report, real or not, impacts our schools, our staff, and our community.

We’re grateful for the ongoing partnership between our schools, families, and local law enforcement in keeping our campuses safe. It truly takes all of us working together to maintain a secure and supportive learning environment.

Thank you for continuing to look out for one another and for your commitment to our students’ safety and well-being.

Take care,
Eric McCalla
