Westlake Newsletter
October 16, 2026
Mrs. Lamb's Corner
Westlake Families.
October is a wonderful time of year as we enjoy the changing leaves, cooler temperatures, and fall activities! Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to make this a positive and successful school year for all of our students. I also want to thank our amazing PTA and families for another successful fundraiser! Your generosity and support make such a difference in our school community.
As the temperatures begin to change, we will start to experience some colder days. Please make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather, including a warm coat, hat, and gloves as needed. We go outside for recess whenever possible, unless it is raining or temperatures are below zero. Thank you for helping us keep our students comfortable and ready to enjoy their time outdoors!
We look forward to wrapping up October with continued learning, growing, and making great memories together!

WESTLAKE HAPPENINGS
Special Delivery
Mrs. Winer’s 1st grade class got a wonderful surprise this week when their letters arrived from their pen pals at Lakeview Assisted Living. The kids couldn't wait to open them, and today they are hard at work writing their replies! We are so proud of our young writers and grateful for our amazing community partners.
Stuffy Party
Mrs. Lennon's classroom met their Sparty goal last week and celebrated with a Stuffy Party. Students loved bringing their favorite stuffed animal to share and snuggle with. There were so many different stuffed animals from sharks, alligators, bears , dogs and many more. Way to show the Spartan Way!!
Homecoming Spirit Week!
What a fantastic week it has been at Westlake Elementary! Our halls have been filled with incredible school spirit, laughter, and creativity all through Homecoming Week.
From cozy pajama day and favorite sports team day to the wild outfits of Wacky Wednesday, bright colors of Hawaiian neon day, and showing our school spartan pride on purple and white day, our students and staff showed their Homecoming Spirit. Thank you to all the families for helping pull together these fun looks and cheering us on. We love seeing our school community shine!
