Sunday Announcement!

Hello Navigators!

Thank you everyone for an amazing first couple days of school. It was so exciting to see our students return and to welcome so many families on campus. I so enjoyed watching teachers and students begin to build connections, develop routines and engage in learning. I am confident it will be a great year.

Beginning tomorrow, August 22nd, the schedule will be as follows:

Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri

8:15 - 2:10 - Kindergarten

8:15 - 2:55 - Grades 1-5

Wednesday

8:15 - 12:25 - All Grades

TK students will have short days for the first 3 weeks of school. School will begin at 8:15 AM and dismissal is at 12:25 for the first 3 weeks. Beginning September 8th they will follow the Kindergarten schedule noted above.

The gate to the left of the office will open at 7:45 each day. Breakfast is served from 7:45 - 8:10 for those who choose to eat at school.

The Kindergarten gate will open at 8 AM, but Kindergarten and TK students can be dropped off at 7:45 at the gate to the left of the office. Kinder/TK students will be sat in one area and walked to the Kindergarten playground at 8 AM.

Oceanside Unified School District has partnered with Care Solace to help families in need of mental health support. This services can help quickly find available services. To access this service call 888-515-0595 or visit their website at www.caresolace.com/ousd. If you have any questions about this or other school counseling services please reach out.

Please, be patient during arrival and dismissal with our traffic. We ask that you do not park in fire lanes in our parking lot or on Old Grove Road. On Friday we sent home a paper for you to write your child(s)' name on. We then ask that you place this in your vehicle's windshield during pick up. This will help us quickly identify who you are picking up making our procedures more efficient.

I so appreciate all the parents who reached out to inquire about volunteering, joining the PTO and more! We will need other parent representatives for our English Language Advisory committee, District parent advisory committee and our School Site Council. All of these roles help us determine budget priorities. Please reply to this email if you are interested. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

Please see the PTO section of the newsletter for updated information.

Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you and have a great night.
