Letter from Mrs. Rosado (Our Principal)
Hello Discovery Families,
I can't believe we have 2 more weeks of time together for this 2025-2026 School. It has been amazing to see the growth of each student in our building. These next two weeks are going to packed with enrichment activities and getting ready for the next grade level. Some grade levels have turned daily themes into learning. We ALL are starting to feel different emotions through this time....
- excitement for summer
- nervous about missing my teacher and friends (& for our 6th graders, nervous about going to a new school experience)
- joyful to visit friends and family
Remember to be patience when it comes to these emotions. (They are normal 😊).
Award Ceremonies for Second Semester....We had made a change to the award ceremonies for 1st - 5th grade. Due to the change in end of school year and the adjustments to Early Release Days, we will do classroom celebrations of Awards. This will mimic the same experience within the classrooms. If you have any questions, either reach out to your child's teacher or administration. We will be happy to answer any questions.
Yearbooks are here! We will be distributing them this week. We have about 73 left to sell. If you haven't purchased yours, please do so through the website and we will get it to your child. https://www.buytheyearbook.com/en/

💭Message from Mr. Watson (School Counselor) 🗣️
Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to remember how important it is to take care of our minds and feelings, just like we take care of our bodies. Everyone has different emotions, and it is okay to feel happy, sad, worried, excited, or frustrated sometimes. Talking to a trusted adult, friend, teacher, or counselor can help when feelings become hard to manage.
Being kind to others can also make a big difference. A smile, helping a friend, or including someone who feels left out can brighten someone’s day. Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, and everyone deserves support and kindness.
This month, let’s work together to spread kindness, show empathy, and help make our school a safe and caring place for everyone.
