Principal Message
Dear WCS Families,
Today, our Grade 5 students performed School House Rock at WHS. The auditorium was filled with laughter, proud moments, and probably a tear or two. Thank you to all of you for your support in helping to make this such a memorable experience for our students. We are also incredibly proud of our students for doing such an amazing job on stage.
A very special thank you goes to Mrs. Fothergill for all of her hard work and dedication during her final School House Rock performance. The Windham School District is truly grateful for Mrs. Fothergill and her many contributions to our music program over the years.
We are also excited to share that our WCS 250th anniversary banner has been completed, and it looks amazing. The banner will be at display at the Town Commons. Our students and staff had a wonderful time helping paint and create it together.
Lastly, for our Grade 6 students attending Canobie Lake Park, permission slips and payment, or a copy of a season pass, must be submitted by Friday, June 5. Please see the details below.
As always, we thank you for your partnership and continued support.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Martin

Windham Fifth Graders Compete at International Level
Five fifth grade students from Windham Center School traveled to Kansas City, Missouri, to compete in the Destination Imagination Global Finals, an international creative problem solving competition featuring approximately 10,000 participants from 11 countries and 28 states.
Representing Team NH Shockwave in the Improvisational Challenge were Rowen Karthik, Oliver Keating, Ryker Ramos, Connor Smith Chang, and Sean Westcott. The team created and performed an original five minute improvisational skit after only two minutes of preparation time.
The students were first time competitors and finished 14th out of 27 elementary teams who also competed globally in the improv category.
A special thank you to Katy Parsons, the Windham School District, students, parents, and the many community members and organizations who supported the team throughout this amazing experience.

Center School Field Day
The Center School Field Day is Monday June 8th (with a rain date of June 9th).
We are in need of parent volunteers for the Center School Field Day Monday June 8th (rain date Tuesday June 9th) to have a successful day. We have had great responses in the past, and hope this year will be the same.
Volunteers (with a staff member and possibly another parent) will lead a 30 minute station.
Assistance may also be provided from another teacher or staff member (who will rotate to that activity with their class). Directions/rules will be provided. Some stations are outside, some are inside, and activities range from "Name that Tune" to "Scooter Board Hockey" to Capture the Football”, so please bring sneakers and be ready for some fun!
If you are available to help for the entire school day from 7:45am-2:00pm please use the link below to register to volunteer.
Both the Vector Training (annually from the prior completion date) & the fingerprinting/background check must be completed/up-to-date to volunteer.
WCS Field Day Parent Volunteer Form
-We will confirm volunteers (as long as there is a cleared background on file with the district and the Vector training is complete), and more details will be emailed to you between a week prior to the event.
* The background check and all Vector training must be completed by Sunday May 31st at midnight. The volunteer link will close at that time as well.
If you have not been cleared to volunteer with the district yet, please go to https://www.windhamsd.org/resources/parents/volunteer_information for instructions (the turn around time takes 3-4 weeks for fingerprints and background checks).
Please email with any questions.

This week's Tech Tip:
This week's Tech Tip is on how to use MyPowerHub Messaging to send and receive chat message communications with school staff.
Direct Messaging in MyPowerHub should be used for simple conversations and questions. Examples could include questions about missing homework, how to help at a class event, or where to find a supply list.
Please view the following attached Tip Doc and watch this short video on MyPowerHub's Messaging Feature.
UPDATED WATERFALL SCHEDULE
WCS Yearbook
WHS LAST NIGHT CLASS OF 2026
Dear Parents/Guardians & WCS Students,
As the warmer weather arrives, we’d like to remind all students and families about the Windham School District dress code. All tops, midsections, and bottoms must be appropriately covered at all times.
If a student is not dressed according to the dress code, they will be asked to call home. If a parent or guardian is unable to bring appropriate clothing to school, the student will be asked to select an item from the clothing bin available in the nurse’s office.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a respectful and appropriate learning environment.
