A Message from Our Principal
Dear Farnham Families,
This week, Farnham students were treated to an incredible school-wide assembly with Coach Greatness (Kevin Bracy), generously sponsored by our Home and School Club. With his high-energy message, Coach Greatness encouraged our Falcons to believe in themselves, set big goals, and bring positivity into everything they do.
Our students left the assembly motivated, smiling, and ready to spread greatness throughout our school community. A huge thank you to our Home and School Club for making this inspiring experience possible!
We are also excited to see all of our Farnham grown ups at Back to School Night TONIGHT, Thursday, August 28th! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with teachers, explore classrooms, and learn more about the year ahead. We can’t wait to welcome you!
Be well,
Amy O’Hehir
Farnham Principal

A NOTE FROM YOUR HSC BOARD:
Hello Farnham Families! This week we kicked off our Pumpkin Walk planning committee and are in full swing with getting our fall activities up and running. Our first movie night of the year is around the corner, happening on September 12 at 5:30pm in the cafeteria. We will be deciding between two Disney/Pixar favorites, see flyer for details.
Want to learn more about all we have going on or interested in helping out with all the fun? Our next HSC Board meeting is September 9th at 6:30pm, or send us a note at hscfarnham@gmail.com, or visit us here to let us know!

THE CITY OF SAN JOSE, BIKE RODEO
September 4th, after school is the SJDoT’s Bike Rodeo program. This is optional and requires parental/guardian presence/supervision. This event will take place from 3:00-4:00 pm on our back playground.
A bike rodeo is a bicycle skills event which provides an opportunity for bicyclists to practice and develop skills that will help them to become better bicyclists and avoid typical crashes.
No permission slip is needed, but we do require that a parent or guardian be present during the time that their child(ren) are participating. Students need to bring their own bike and helmet. If they do not have a helmet, we will have a limited supply on hand to provide for these students.
Please RSVP through this link: https://forms.gle/LA7WywrrWYMfkJyYA. You can also sign up your student on arrival at the bike rodeo. However, the RSVP list gives the program leads an idea of how many students will be participating.
Program Flier: English | Spanish | Vietnamese

TK/Kinder Modified Schedules
Until September 5th, TK and Kinder students will have an early dismissal of 11:40am to help them adjust to a full school day. The first full day of class will be on September 8th.
Attendance Is Important
Consistent school attendance is key to success for your child. Ensuring your child is on time and in attendance on the first day of school is very important. If a student is NOT in attendance on the first day of school, they will be dropped from enrollment at the end of the day UNLESS we receive communication from their parent/guardian regarding the reason for their absence. If your child has five unexcused absences during the first week of school, August 14th-20th, your student will be dropped from enrollment at the end of the day on August 20th. If your child is dropped for any reason, you will need to re-enroll your child with the Cambrian School District.
Avoid Tardies
Being on time to school is a great way to start the day (students do not like walking into class late). Please avoid tardies at all costs. Gates open at 8:05 am, and close (and lock) at 8:15 am when the instructional day begins. After 8:15 am, everyone must check in through the school office, and students will walk themselves to class.
Important Information From The Health & Attendance Office
School Absences:
If your child will be absent or tardy, please call the automated 24 hour attendance line before the school day begins. Absences not cleared will be recorded as a truancy. Farnham's 24 hour automated attendance line is 408-377-3321 EXT 4102.
Medical Updates And Medications For 2025-2026 School Year:
Please provide updated medical forms for children with medical concerns and medication requirements for the 2025-2026 school year. The forms are available on the Cambrian District website's Enrollment Page. Please bring the updated and signed form(s), along with the medication, to the Health Office when school begins. A medication authorization form is required for both prescription and over-the-counter medicines. All medication must be in the original container, labeled by the pharmacist, with clear instructions for administration. O-T-C medications must be new in the sealed packaging.
SEPTEMBER MENUS
Complimentary Brunch/Lunch
All morning snack and lunches will be complimentary (no cost) for the entire 2025-26 school year. Even though school meals are free this year, we encourage you to complete the meal application to take advantage of additional benefits for you and your family, while also helping with school funding.
