Wheeler Named All-State

Mrs. Howard's Social Studies Activties

Fifth graders in Mrs. Howard's Social Studies and ELA class participated in a mock election and an election for Class President/Vice President. They wrote and presented speeches, and learned about the entire election and voting process, from registering to vote to going to the polling place to vote and placing their ballot in a box. There was a runoff election in the end.

Later in the week, they created Veterans Day posters in honor of all military personnel have served and each fifth grader personally spotlighted a special veteran they were related to or know.

ACEE Grant in Action

5th grade students using the keyboard covers that were bought using the grant money awarded by ACEE to Ms. Schulze's class.

NCDA Festival

Sophia Pappe and Sara Kirk participated in the Northeastern Choral Director’s Association Festival.

Sara Kirk will be auditioning for OKMEA 2nd round auditions later this month.

District Band Honors

Congratulations to band seniors Mallory Lowry, and Blake Phillippe. They travelled to Catoosa this past Saturday to audition for a spot in the GCBDA district band. Mallory got 2nd chair tenor sax, and Blake got 8th chair percussion. Both of these Warriors also qualified to go to the second round of the All-State band auditions in OKC next month.

BHE Learn About Elections

For Voting Day we had voting polls set up for every student. They were to choose a president based on two books they read and Duck won the crowd over. Second, they voted on two state questions. Should there be pajama day and a field day in the spring? Both won with great numbers.

BHE Warrior Way Winners

Our Warrior Way winners were Kolston Fitzgerald, Daxton Unrau, Daniel Lacoe, William Sander, Bella Grissett and Michael Mcclelland. Way to go guys!

FLL Lego Robotics Regionals

Team Adair Lego Warriors 33635 and team Adair Lego Legends 36354 competed at the FLL Qualifier Regional on Saturday at Jenks High School. They ended the competition as winners of the Robot Design presentations. 2nd place for the Lego Legends and 3rd place for the Lego Warriors.
