HISD: In Review
Week of Monday, November 2 - Friday, November 6, 2026
Message from Your Superintendent
It is with great sadness that while I publish this newsletter we have a HISD family suffering with a critically ill child at HMS. I sent communication about the situation on Saturday and have attached the link here if by chance you did not receive it: https://bit.ly/4e94Oiu. The custodial department has sanitized all buildings throughout the weekend. Thank you for your support of one of our own!
We had a wonderful celebration on Friday at HES with the 45th annual Spooky Parade. Many pictures are below!
The students enjoyed Red Ribbon Week and had great spirit! I truly hope they understand how important it is to care for their bodies and minds!
Thank you for your kindness, care and support of our HISD family!

Bacterial Meningitis Information
We understand that there is confusion and questions about Bacterial Meningitis among the community. Please refer to the websites below and your family physician for any specific question relating to your child/family. I wanted to reiterate that all of our campuses and buses have been cleaned and sanitized with hospital grade disinfectant throughout the weekend.
